This is Adrien, Tammy, Me, Jessica, and Carlee in front of the Lincoln Memorial.
We flew into DC and spent a day there sightseeing. We visited the monuments and of course went to a ton of museums.
Then the five of us squished into Tammy's car and drove to Philadelphia and checked into our really small, sketchy hotel room. It was next door to a men's homeless shelter and didn't even have enough floor space to put a twin size air mattress out. We met Paul in Philly (who got a large, luxurious hotel room in a much nicer hotel) and spent the next few days attending the conference, sightseeing, and attending more museums.
One night we went to one of the parties the local museums host. We went to the party at Independence Hall and the Constitution Center. That was awesome because we got to go through those buildings practically by ourselves when usually there are tons of people crammed in there. It was fabulous.
The conference was fantastic. I mean, what could be better than 5,000 people who LOVE museums getting together?
Tammy and I both got to present research at the conference. We did poster presentations alongside some of the biggest names in Audience Research. It was a little nerve wracking, but a great experience and tons of fun!
